On January 25th, 2023, the first international review of the smarTravel project by the CELTIC Office took place at ISEP, in a hybrid format.
After a brief welcome note by Program Coordinator, Christiane Reinsch, and introduction of the Lead Reviewer, Mr. Bela Berde, an update on the project was provided, in which was highlighted the main results obtained in each of its activities.
Following this and in order to showcase the best of Portugal, a break was taken for the traditional “café e pastel de nata”.
With recharged energy, it was time for the partners to shine through individual demonstrations of each Use Case. Here, the Portuguese consortium, composed of SISTRADE and ISEP, presented Use Case #1 “Attraction & Activity Recommendation Engine,” focusing mainly on developments achieved at the mobile application, chatbot, and recommendation engine levels.
Finally, the next steps of the project were discussed and all issues raised by the reviewers were debated.
Today, the Mid-Term Review was approved and the overall impression gained about the project was classified as “good”. We could not be prouder!
