From March 24 to 27, SISTRADE participated in the 12th EurOMA Sustainability Forum (https://euroma-sustainabilityforum.org/), where it presented key advancements from four innovative projects: Advance4i, D2T smartPLM, SmartIL (all under the Produtech R3 Agenda) and SmartStream (part of the AM2R Agenda). These projects focus on digital transformation, sustainability, and industrial efficiency, demonstrating how cutting-edge technologies can drive the future of manufacturing.
Advance4i: Digitalization for Energy Efficiency and Resource Optimization
In Session 25, SISTRADE showcased the Advance4i project (WP13), a digitalization-driven initiative that enhances energy efficiency and resource management in manufacturing. The project aims to reduce waste, optimize resources, and support data-driven decision-making. The presentation covered developments in IoT-based process interconnection, AI-driven predictive maintenance, and operational efficiency enhancement tools, all designed to improve the reliability and sustainability of industrial operations.
D2T smartPLM: Sustainable Product Lifecycle Management
Under WP2 of the Produtech R3 Agenda, SISTRADE presented solutions developed within PPS1 and PPS2, focusing on the integration of sustainability principles into product design and production processes. The D2T smartPLM platform leverages Lean Design for eXcellence (LeanDfX) and 0-4D methodologies to help industries assess and improve product efficiency across the entire lifecycle, from design to logistics, enabling cost reduction and lower environmental impact.
SmartIL: Sustainable and Efficient Maintenance through Automated Documentation Analysis
Also under the Produtech R3 Agenda (WP9), SISTRADE presented the SmartIL project, which introduces the S1000Decoder – a tool developed to enhance the sustainability and efficiency of industrial maintenance, particularly in the aeronautics sector. The solution automates the analysis and comparison of XML-based OEM manuals compliant with the S1000D specification, significantly reducing manual workload and error potential. By reducing dependency on paper-based processes and enabling circular maintenance workflows, SmartIL supports more sustainable, accurate, and resource-efficient operations across industries like aerospace and automotive.
SmartStream: Driving Circular Economy in the Two-Wheel Sector
As part of the AM2R Agenda, SmartStream was presented as an innovative approach to digitalizing and optimizing supply chains in the two-wheel sector. By integrating RFID technology, Intelligent Document Digitalization (IDD), and the GreenCloud sustainability platform, SmartStream enhances traceability, minimizes waste, and supports circular economy principles, aligning with European sustainability directives.
SISTRADE’s participation in the Euroma Sustainability Forum reinforces its dedication to advancing sustainable, digitalized, and intelligent manufacturing. Through projects like Advance4i, D2T smartPLM, SmartIL and SmartStream, the company continues to drive industrial transformation, supporting businesses in their journey towards greater efficiency, sustainability, and competitiveness.
