Project Description

Objective:

The SmartIL project is part of the PRODUTECH R3 Agenda, which aims Intelligent Interoperable Robotic Platform and Solutions for Intralogistics and Quality Control for the Industry. In this project, SISTRADE plays the role of a technology developer, working alongside many other partners, with OGMA as a demonstrator for its development.

The objetive is to develop intelligent and resilient decision support solutions for internal logistics operations, which allow holistically monitoring, tracking and automating all phases of the product, from the reception of raw materials, through the processes from feeding to production lines and component storage, to finished product shipping processes.

On a second level, advanced production systems based on industrial robotics and mobile robotics will be explored, capable of performing their tasks in an autonomous, collaborative and optimized way. Considering that the human operator will continue to be the most flexible and intelligent asset operating in the production system, intelligent information and knowledge management platforms are also needed, interconnected with augmented reality solutions that allow information to be made available at the right time and for the right person, reducing non-production times. It is also intended to introduce new products and quality inspection services through image processing and artificial intelligence, which will ensure traceability and quality analysis for all products produced, and throughout the entire production line, in order to maximize customer satisfaction and reduce waste.

In order to ensure the good execution of the demonstrators, the aim is to demonstrate the importance of sensing and monitoring platforms for production systems with real-time data collection from machines on the factory floor and calculation of performance indicators. The objective of this project will be to demonstrate the importance of exploring integrative technologies based on IoT, 5G and digital twin capable of guaranteeing the correct digitalization and management of information at various levels of decision-making. This modeled information will serve as a basis for creating training content, as well as supporting production and maintenance processes based on augmented reality mechanisms.

Goals:
SmartIL aims to develop and test many PPSs (Processes, Services, and Systems) in a real industrial environment. Our work is focussed on the PPS 46: Smart PLM and Paperless (Smart PLM for Complex Product Maintenance Operations).
