Project Description
Main objective – Easier project proposes a new solution type and structured and technologically viable solution, with its main objective being to contribute to increase in physical activity of the targeted groups.
Goals – The project intends to create a digitally integrated platform, composed by modulation, monitoring, inference and visualization modules, integrated in App form, being this the interface with the user in which the game is played in a local or predefined trail. This game will correspond to a new immersive experience, resourcing to augmented reality, physical and mental challenges. Each experience will be based on real (urban or natural) trails, accordingly with a set of parameters identified by the platform. The goal is to enhance the positive effect on physical and mental health through an individual and personalized experience.
Predicted Results
1. Create a functional prototype of an Integrated Digital Platform, consisting of layers of modelling, monitoring, inference and visualization, of immersive experiences by users, until the conclusion of this project;
2. Represent at least 2 immersive experiences of territorial exploration (urban context and natural context), based on challenges/games of a social nature and “exergames”, until the conclusion of the PDI prototype;
3. Define the parameters (external load components – volume, intensity, density and internal responses – heart rate and subjective perception of effort) that contribute to improving the physical and mental fitness of the different target audiences of the project and that will allow the creation of immersive experiences through PDI to be developed until the end of the first year of operation;
4. Contribute to the increase of at least 3000 adult players with less than 7.5 hours/day in sedentary activities, in the North of Portugal, up to 1 year after the end of the project;
5. Contribute to the 2020 Health Goals, namely so that at least 5000 adolescents in the PDI application regions increase their physical activity and engage in moderate expenditure activities three or more times a week, within 1 year after completion from the project.
