On October 3, the President of National Monitoring Comission of Recovery and Resilience Plan (NMC-RRP), Pedro Dominguinhos, visited the Associação Nacional das Indústrias de Duas Rodas, Ferragens e Mobiliário (ABIMOTA) to assess the progress of the Mobilizing Agenda for Business Innovation in the Two-Wheel Sector (AM2R), which includes the SmartStream project.
The visit began with a meeting at 9:00 AM with members of the AM2R consortium, where the progress and challenges faced so far were discussed. This session focused on the impact of digitalization and ecological transition initiatives promoted by European funds, particularly in the context of the PRR and the NextGenerationEU strategy.
Starting at 10:00 AM, Pedro Dominguinhos, accompanied by other representatives from ABIMOTA and the consortium, visited the facilities of companies within the sector, including Miranda & Irmão, a member of the AM2R consortium and an active participant in the SmartStream project.
The visit to Miranda’s facilities allowed the President of NMC-RRP to observe firsthand the innovative solutions being developed in the areas of digital transition and sustainable production of bicycle components. These included advances in intelligent document digitalization systems, RFID-based article traceability systems, and the GreenCloud system related to energy management.
The SmartStream consortium continues its active work to achieve new advancements and contribute to a more sustainable and competitive future.
