On the 25th and 26th of January 2023, SISTRADE have been at the Airbus Defence and Space site in Friedrichshafen, Germany, for kick off the project on the European Defence Operational Collaborative Cloud (EDOCC) funded by the European Union.
With the EDOCC Consortium, major industrial actors of Defence in Europe are joining efforts in the EDOCC project to develop a disruptive approach for the exchange of multi-domain services. The objective is to provide the EU and its Member States a virtual platform based on Cloud technologies that will increase the interoperability, efficiency, and resilience of military operations. This initiative will strengthen collaborative services on the battlefield.
What is EDOCC?
EDOCC will create a virtual platform to increase the interoperability, efficiency, and resiliency of military operations, which will strengthen collaborative services on the battlefield. The project will study, design and conceptually validate the virtual platform and develop the first version of a services catalogue while identifying appropriate standards and technologies for high performance and interoperability.
This will change how military plan and fight, using their C5ISR Systems.
